Theme Notes Series 290: Let’s Pretend Play School’s series ‘Let’s pretend’ aims to nurture the imagination, creativity and a sense of wonder. Imaginative play not only provides enjoyment to young children, but it also helps them understand the real world and their place in it. It can also help them learn about experiences and people they may not directly come into contact with. Language, social and cognitive ability are also developed through imaginative play. A strong sense of imagination and creativity assists children become confident problem solvers. Each slit must be the same height on all three trunks. Place tree trunks to form a tripod. Take cardboard circles and slide them through the slits in the tree trunks to hold them together. Paste leaves onto the tree for foliage. Drape crepe paper vines over the tree. Put craft jungle animals or toys onto the jungle tree house. MAKE AND DO How to Make Yoghurt Pops You will need: - Natural yoghurt - Berries - A bowl Wooden spoon Plastic cups - Ice cream sticks Put yoghurt in bowl and stir in berries. Spoon mixture in plastic cups. Place ice cream stick in middle. Put in the freezer until set hard.
