The Sermon for Today

A visiting minister is traveling through Mayberry. The message that he gives the congregation is to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. As a result, Andy and his friends and family decide to take the sermon to heart and plan to put on a concert in the park – that day. However, chaos soon ensues when the band's uniforms and the bandstand are falling apart and the band is severely out of tune. Ultimately, they realize what the minister was talking about and decide to call the concert off and take time to relax on their porch steps.
