Ernest T. Bass Joins the Army

Ernest T. Bass arrives in Mayberry, intent on joining the Army, so he can get a uniform to impress the mountain girls who live near him. Knowing that Ernest T. wouldn't be a good fit for the Army, Andy gives the recruiting sergeant a warning about the quirky mountain man. At first the sergeant scoffs at Andy's warning, but soon sees what Andy means about him and tells Ernest T. to go home. Claiming that it's Andy's fault that he didn't get his uniform, Ernest T. vows to pay Andy back for being rejected by the Army.
