Saga about the Doroshins family. The action takes place in the war and post-war time. The characteristic features of the Doroshins family are hard work, courage and integrity. Pavel Nikolaevich - war veteran, chief designer of the plant, Anastasiya Mikhaylovna - head of Department of the University, an active participant in the partisan movement. Their eldest son, Ilya, a sanitary doctor, demands the liquidation of one of the enterprises in the city center.
