During the children's holiday, young Gena Somov disappears without a trace. Freelance journalist Skripnichenko joins the investigation. A casual witness to the abduction - a neighbor's boy Denis - claims to have seen an unknown man following Gena. Soon, according to the description, the investigators go to a nearby school security guard suspected of pedophilia.
