Connie agrees to offer a nervous Jacob moral support at a presentation, in which he must demonstrate his `gun-shot wound' policy to the heads of trusts. Back at the ED, a heroin addict in critical condition passes away, and when David notifies her father, the man immediately embarks on a vengeful mission. As Jacob and Connie make their way to the conference, they unwittingly become entangled in the case as they try to rescue a man from stranded in a storm drain.
