Arsênio Godard's End

1893 in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian navy rebels against the country's government. Inside one of the navy's ships, a deserter is captured and held prisoner. The commander punishes the french mercenary in an exemplary fashion with an unlikely punishment, the burden of silence.
