Claire takes Manny and Luke with her to Alex's academic decathlon, leading Phil to try and have a boys' night. Unfortunately, he's only able to get one guy to show up, and remains oblivious to the fact that the other man is sexually interested in him. Meanwhile, Alex feels pressure to succeed, Manny and Luke Bar Mitzvah hop, and Mitch and Cam arrange for a surprise gift for Gloria.
