Eight-month-old Elsie was not expected to survive being born due to serious kidney abnormalities. But she has spent all but two weeks of her life in hospital and has 11 operations to repair the damage caused by a genetic problem. Now she faces surgery yet again. Holly has cerebral palsy and, as she is about to turn 18, is preparing to transition to adult services in Liverpool - a huge leap for her parents who have grown to depend on the hospital's care.
