J.D.'s day off doesn't go as planned when he is called into work and ends up putting out fires everywhere. Turk has the opportunity to assist on a heart transplant, but first he must convince the family of a terminal man to pull the plug. Carla takes care of Dr. Cox's son and feels she is not ready to be a mom. Elliot hides notes everywhere but later realizes she does not need them.
