Death in the Slow Lane

On his arrival in Midsomer as a replacement for his departed cousin Tom, DCI John Barnaby is asked by the headmistress of a boarding school to act as security for an upcoming classic-car show. When one of the show judges is found crushed to death, more deaths follow and John finds that his first murder investigation has landed him in serious peril.
