The search for seven-year-old Amy Tennant continues and all eyes are still on her father, James. CID go over his movements the day his daughter disappeared and it soon becomes clear that he doesn’t have an alibi for the time he spent between finishing work and arriving home. DC Suzie Sim loses her role as family liaison officer when she is thrown out of the house by an angry James when he discovers he is under close scrutiny.<br> <br> DI Neil Manson begins to form a bond with James, who finally confesses to spending some time alone by the river. Amy’s ten-year-old step-brother, Todd is the next family member to be scrutinised after he is found to be involved in making prank calls to CID about Amy’s disappearance. But after further investigation and the questioning of a terrified Todd, the prime suspect is soon once again Amy’s father, James, who wasn’t seen on the CCTV by the river at the time he stated. Why did he lie?<br> <br> Neil Manson is stunned to hear from Met press officer, Mia Perry that a woman called Shelley is about to go to the press, claiming she has proof of James’s violence. Neil pays her a visit to ask her to drop the story as it may ruin any future convictions against James - but what evidence could Shelley hold?<br> <br> Also, CAD officer Dean McVerry gets covered in champagne when PCs Will Fletcher and Dan Casper give him a send off he will never forget as he leaves his job at Sun Hill.
