Llanfairfach, Wales: Miners are mysteriously dying and glowing bright green after contact with an oozing substance. As the Doctor prepares a trip to planet Metebelis III, Jo plans to go to Llanfairfach to join Professor Clifford Jones' Wholeweal Community who are protesting against pollution, claiming Global Chemicals are responsible.
