Episode 181

Delta Air Lines had four emergency landings this week, two due to reports of cabin fumes and two due to apparent pressurization issues. Kris Van Cleave has details about Thursday's incident. The first-ever Republican midterm convention continued on Thursday in Dallas, where President Trump promised a $5,000 payment to every American if Republicans keep control of Congress. He's promoted similar payouts before, but hasn't yet followed through. Ed O'Keefe has more from Dallas. In April, an American F-15E fighter jet was shot down over Iran, stranding two Air Force officers who were eventually rescued by U.S. Special Forces. One of them exclusively speaks with 60 Minutes' Norah O'Donnell after evading capture behind enemy lines. Anthropic said on Thursday that it disrupted several potential efforts this year to make biological weapons using its models. It's the exact kind of threat that has some people worried, including former Anthropic employee Jacob Coxon. Jo Ling Kent spoke with him on Thursday. Andy Card, former President George W. Bush's chief of staff, and the teacher of the class Bush was in on Sept. 11, 2001, spoke with Major Garrett about that day.
