Ay Mami

Abby and Jorge's Latin-inspired brunch spot, Mami Mosas, may be serving up good vibes in West Covina, Calif., but behind the scenes, the couple is losing money month after month. When Chef Antonia Lofaso sends her sous-chef Nestor Milian undercover, they find a small staff steadily pumping out food and smiling servers. But inside the kitchen, cooks have been poorly trained, cleanliness standards are nonexistent, and roaches have made themselves at home. With Abby and Jorge failing to give their inexperienced team the tools they need to succeed, Antonia fears Mami Mosas is just one Health Department visit away from being shut down. Now, she must clean up the kitchen, train the staff, and push Abby and Jorge to become the leaders their restaurant needs before Mami Mosas is forced to close its doors forever.
