Ballistics analysis confirmed that the weapon used belonged to the wounded officer, and the location where they found it led them to deduce that the fugitives had evaded Operation Cage and might be approaching Barcelona. Prieto's ex-wife called Julián, her former brother-in-law, convinced that he and Olmedo knew their hiding place. What she didn't know was that the Mossos had tapped her phone and found a lead.
