Democratic state officials in Minnesota said they will sue over the surge in federal immigration enforcement officers. All as there were intensifying clashes between protestors and officers. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports. President Trump, who already threatened military action against Iran surrounding the deadly protests, now announced tariffs targeting countries that do business with the Islamic republic. This, as the death toll continues to grow and Iran remains cut off from the rest of the world. NBC News' Richard Engel has the story. Fed chair Jerome Powell is pushing back amid a DOJ investigation. Some Republican lawmakers are criticizing the move, which comes after President Trump has repeatedly criticized Powell for not lowering interest rates. NBC News' Kelly O'Donnell reports. In Jackson, Mississippi, a 19-year-old has been charged with arson after breaking into a synagogue and lighting it on fire. New video shows the suspect pouring gasoline inside. NBC News' Jesse Kirsch has the story.  Michael McKee waived his right to an extradition hearing and will soon be transported to Ohio to face aggravated murder charges for the killings of his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband, Spencer. A member of the Tepe family told NBC News McKee was "emotionally abusive" to Monique during their marriage. NBC News' Erin McLaughlin reports. New videos show powerful avalanches in Colorado, Washington and Alaska. One incident turned deadly over the weekend. The threat is now leading to evacuation advisories for some residents.
