Ambush in Cambodia: Death of a Japanese Police Officer

In 1993, a Japanese civilian police officer taking part in a United Nations peacekeeping operation in Cambodia was killed. It was the first such mission under Japan's pacifist constitution. A ceasefire was supposed to be in place, but the officer and his colleagues were attacked in an ambush.
