During 5 years of civil war, more than 4.6 million Syrians have fled their country. Many have risked their lives to cross the sea in search of a better life for themselves and their families. The UN's Refugee Agency leads the effort to respond to the plight of the displaced. More than 90 Japanese work for the agency.
