At her brother Johann's wedding, Marie flirts aggressively with her old childhood friend to punish Luis for his relapse. When the charges against Luis are dropped and his lawyer enforces a restraining order against Verena, Luis becomes a submissive patient, doing everything he can to meet Marie's demands and follow her plan for recovery.
