The threat of bankruptcy forces Axel to the negotiating table and to a New York night club with his new wife Hanne who quickly develops a taste for the decadent American lifestyle. Meanwhile, back in Denmark, Birthe must juggle creditors as well as her family and a chaotic wedding at Carmen.
