Professor Lucas Artemius takes the team along, minus the seniors, when invited by a friend, a ship captain, to track down the treasure left to him and his trusted but bad-sighted, clumsy and near-deaf Egyptian lawyer, Mr. Antifer. It proves a testing, dangerous and intellectually tricky chase for clue after clue along the Mediterranean coast, where Tunisian pirates catch on. Jules solves the riddles and fights off the fiends.
