Professor Lucas Artemius and his team agree to travel to Iceland, where famous geologist Johansson is missing, joining his son's rescue expedition trough a dormant volcano, many miles into the inner earth. They discover a fascinating subterranean world, complete with strangely adapted plants and above ground-extinct dinosaurs. After finding the stranded father, it's a challenge to find a way back.
