Episode 2

Reeling after discovering the word "Killer" painted on the deck – together with a photo of him and his former navy comrades – Ed confides in Bob who informs him that he saw George heading to the boat on some CCTV. Is George behind the sabotage? Warning George to back off, Ed heads home to make amends with his family. Finding the house empty, he attempts to contact his old navy comrades, hoping they can shed some light on recent events. But when Claire returns home, Ed is given more bad news. He's received a fine for quota violations. Someone has been spying on him and is determined to make him pay. Having built bridges with Abbie and Ryan, Ed receives a call from his old navy chum, Craig who informs him that the third man, Arthur, is currently missing and the fourth, Des, is in a hospice with end stage cancer. Desperately needing answers, Ed secretly employs the services of a private investigator and is horrified to find another photo left on his windscreen with the word "guilty" emblazoned on the back. Someone is following him. Attempting to hide his fears from his family, Ed helps Abbie move in with Ryan but when Claire discovers that Ed is still secretly investigating Ryan, she snaps and warns Ed to sort himself out or their marriage is over. In desperation, Ed finds himself stealing money from his mother-in-law to pay the private investigator to get results. Fast. While out with Ryan on a bonding boat trip, Ed receives a disturbing phone call from George insinuating that Ryan is lying about his past. Taking the opportunity to snoop around Ryan's house, Ed is just about to find the evidence he needs when he is caught red handed by a furious Ryan.
