Henry has decided they must leave their hideout because they've run out of food, and Doc Edelstein is not coming back.

Henry explains to Joel and Ellie how they can escape downtown Kansas City through the maintenance tunnels.

Joel, Ellie, Henry, and Sam find the entrance to the kindergarten and go inside.

The group rests in the underground kindergarten they find.

The group has made it to the other side of the maintenance tunnels and try to make their way to the pedestrian bridge.

Joel has killed the sniper, then hears Kathleen over his radio.

Henry faces Kathleen; The truck disappears into a sinkhole; The group escapes.

After the burial, Joel looks at Ellie's sign on Sam’s grave.
