Brenda Blethyn presents an appeal on behalf of the Prince's Trust, a charity that gives vulnerable young people the skills and confidence they need to find work or make progress at school or college.Laura's life took a horrific turn when she was attacked at the age of sixteen, but rather than report the abuse, she turned in on herself and developed an eating disorder. She spent months in hospital recovering physically, but it was only thanks to the inspirational programmes run by the Prince's Trust that she managed to rebuild her confidence and sense of purpose. She has now signed up to a college course in mental health care and is about to move out of supported housing to live independently.
