River Valleys

The steep-sided river valleys of Devon and Cornwall are perhaps the South West's most distinctive habitats, and home to some of the UK's rarest animals. Nick finds out how these plunging wooded cleaves have, over the centuries, made intensive farming almost impossible and so allowed insects and the birds that feed on them to thrive.
