The rich twin sisters Berthe and Amanda lives on an estate with butler Jozef, his wife Maria, their son Patrick and Amanda's daughter Alida. When Berthe is found poisoned, the domestic is suspected as she scolded him threatening to scrap her from the will, but it's his bright boy who confesses the murder. Roos finds this a most instructive error and and works on Amanda finding out an old family secret with a bright and a dark side leading to the surprising truth.
