The Education of Ernest T. Bass

Ernest T. Bass descends upon Mayberry with one thing in mind: get some learning, so he can impress his girl Ramona. However, when Andy suggests to Helen to let him sit in her fifth grade class, she is less than thrilled at the distraction he brings to the class. When after Helen disciplines him and Ernest T. decides to declare his love for her, Andy and Barney think of a way to get Ernest T. his diploma and back up to the mountains.
