The Return of Malcolm Merriweather

After Aunt Bee starts lamenting about the amount of work she has to do around the house, Andy thinks of a way to help her out. When Malcolm Merriweather arrives back in town, Andy decides to hire him again so Aunt Bee can become a "lady of leisure." However, his plan soon backfires when Malcom becomes so efficient that Aunt Bee no longer feels needed. It is only after Malcom has a talk with Opie does he realize how much doing housework is what gives Aunt Bee purpose, and as a result, schemes to get her back on the job.
