Deputy Otis

One Saturday morning Otis gets a letter from his older brother Ralph, letting him know that he and his wife will be passing through Mayberry. When Ralph makes a comment that Otis could "fix" any ticket he might get while in town, Otis admits to Andy and Barney that while he sleeps off his sentence, he occasionally writes his brother on the jailhouse stationary, and as a result, Ralph thinks Otis is a deputy. Realizing the pinch Otis is in, Andy decides to help Otis out by deputizing him while his brother and sister-in-law are in town.
