Mayberry Goes Bankrupt

After Andy has to evict an elderly man for not paying his back property taxes, he starts looking for a way to help him raise the money he needs to move back home. When they come across an old municipal bond, Andy takes it to the town council to see what they can do about it. Fearing that Frank will cash it and bankrupt the town, the council decides to fix up his house in exchange of him cashing the bond. It is only after the work is done when the town council discovers they overlooked a glaring detail – the bond was bought with Confederate money.
